ADNIGHT AMSTERDAM ’24

An AI-art exhibition bringing visual AI together with generative art.

1. The Silos

What is the value of data? What’s beyond the silicone?

Initiated with these questions, my visual exploration led to imaginary objects featuring formulaic forms and materials. Each object, based on a dynamically generated 3D reference image, is transformed to unique visuals with structured prompts.

Put in motion and generative composition using three.js, the installation runs in any device with a web browser.  A new flow is generated on each run, creating an infinite configuration of objects floating through connected displays.

2. Infinite Facades

Can we emphasise patterns within machine hallucinations?

Each AI hallucination yields a slightly different output. Even with identical prompts and configuration, the created images shift slowly, never repeating twice. This chaotic nature and a love for brutalist architecture was the starting point for this installation.

Using a structured prompt with recurring instructions, I created hundreds of facades that follow a pattern and leave room for the AI model to add its chaos. Each facade has a touch of colour, freely decided by the model. Despite their irregular and chaotic look, each facade can repeat seamlessly on x and y-axis.

Put in motion and a generative composition using three.js, the installation runs on vertical displays which are positioned to create 3D volumes.  A new flow is generated on each run, creating an infinite configuration of facades floating through the displays, creating and breaking the illusion of order and chaos.
