Most generative art lives inside a screen, often as something temporary. GO-1 began with a simple question: what happens when it becomes part of a space? Something that stays. Something that runs even when noone’s watching.

GO-1 concept renders

Translating the system into a physical object required a series of iterations. The focus was not on adding complexity, but on reducing the object to what was necessary for it to run continuously within a space.

The result is GO-1, an object designed to coexist within a space rather than define it. Its behaviour is intentionally restrained. Most of the time, the system remains calm and changes are barely noticeable. Occasionally, a shift in composition or colour is enough to draw attention.

The system runs independently, and doesn’t demand user interaction. When interaction does occur, it does not function as direct control. Instead, it influences what is already happening. The relationship is intentionally loose: predictable enough to feel responsive, but open enough to avoid becoming a fixed interface.

Time plays a central role in how GO-1 operates. The system is built around a set of rules that guide motion, colour, shape and line styles over time. Changes are gradual and often subtle. Rather than producing deterministic states, the system moves through a continuous evolution. Over time, these small changes can alter the overall atmosphere of a space.

GO-1 is available in a limited number of builds, each crafted individually.

The current version can be acquired as it exists today. Custom commissions are also possible, with variations in size, material, and visual behaviour.
